Live the Happiest, Healthiest Lifestyle Possible (cont.)

We must add some omega-3-rich fish or seafood for our brains. It has been reported that we will feel better and have a better outlook on life from the omega-3s found in fish and seafood. We can also use some plant sources such as flax seed or walnuts if we don't eat fish.

We can't leave out the whole grains. They have so many benefits tied to the vitamins, minerals and fiber that all work together to make us healthier. They also can make us stay slim due to the fiber controlling our appetite. We want to include whole wheat, oats, and brown rice and the items that are made from them.

And we must say that exercise is mandatory to keep our muscle mass, boosting our metabolism, and keeping our heart and lungs primed. At least 30 minutes of moderate activity, five days a week should keep us healthy.

And we cannot leave out the new research that touts the benefits of having a glass of red wine daily as it contains resveratrol which is a potent antioxidant. Or, if you are not a wine drinker, have a cup of coffee. Coffee benefits come somewhat from caffeine which is good for diabetics and Parkinson's patients. But coffee also contains chlorogenic acids which are antioxidants. Drinking tea may have benefits of strengthening your immune system, lowering your risk of heart attack and help fight memory loss associated with aging. You should choose green, black or oolong tea which are made from the tea plant and are missing from the herbal teas.

Following these simple rules can keep us at our best, our healthiest, and most active. Hope you are engaged in turning back your clock!
